Horseback rides along the south end of Hatteras Island are a unique way to explore the habitat of the Carolina coast.

Enjoy a guided trail ride through the Maritime forest of Frisco with each ride tailored to your comfort level. Leisurely stroll along the water’s edge while taking in the view of the iconic Cape Hatteras Lighthouse or take it to the next level with an exhilarating canter down the beach,

Come Ride the Beach

We offer two daily ride times depending on the time of year (morning and afternoon). We are open year round. Rides last about 2 hours. Riders must be older than 10 years old. No experience is necessary, but experienced riders have fun too!

What to Bring

  • Riders should wear closed toed shoes. 

  • You will be most comfortable in long pants. 

  • Bug spray and sunscreen is recommended.

  • NO backpacks or purses.

Before the Ride

  • Allow 3 hours in your schedule for the ride.

  • Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled ride.  Be on time!  We cannot wait for late arrivals.

  • Leave items in your car that you can drop and lose - ex. favorite sunglasses, car keys, wallet.

  • For other guests enjoyment and safety reasons, we do not allow cell phone use on the ride. No talking or texting but you may turn on airplane mode to use your camera. 

  • There is NO SMOKING allowed here at the facility or on the trail ride.

  • Helmets are available for all riders and required for riders under 18 years of age.

  • NO PETS ALLOWED ON THE PREMISE! Leave all pets at your cottage or room.  Your pet cannot sit in the car for 2 hours while you are on the ride nor can it go on the ride with you.
