What you need to know

1.Horses are considered vehicles by the National Park Service.  Stay in areas where cars are allowed!

2. Stay off the dunes and any vegetation.  Only access the beach where cars cross onto by the ramps. Crossing the dunes in any other area is cause for the National Park Service to write you a ticket.

3. Clean up after yourself and your horse.  Don't leave any trash on the trail or manure in parking lots etc.

4. Respect people on the beach and give them plenty of space. Be aware beach goers may have fishing line out or loose dogs or  small children running around.

5. Stay out of any closed off areas such as turtle and bird enclosures.  There are serious fines for entering these areas.  Some are dune to water and you CANNOT go around either by going over the dune or through the water.
