Now that you have booked your ride here are somethings you should know. Please print and share with your fellow riders!
- Please wear closed toed shoes. You will be most comfortable in long pants. Bug spray and sunscreen is recommended.
- Please allow 3 hours in your schedule for the ride.
- Bring a SMALL camera - we are always happy to take group photos on the beach for you. No video cameras.
- Please arrive on time for your ride. Arrive 15 minutes before your scheuduled ride. We cannot wait for late arrivals.
- Leave items in your car that you can drop and lose - ex. favorite sunglasses, car keys, wallet.
- For other guests enjoyment we do not allow cell phones on the ride. The guide will carry one for emergencies.
- There is NO SMOKING allowed here at the facility or on the trail ride.
- Helmets are available for all riders and required for riders under 16 years of age.
- We do our best to match you with a horse based on what you tell us your riding ability is. Please do not over estimate your ability.
- Please leave all pets at your cottage or room. Your pet cannot sit in the car for 2 hours while you are on the ride nor can it go on the ride with you.
- Please arrive with the # of people that you made your reservation for. We are very busy and can re book any spots given enough notice. We require 24 hour cancellation notice for groups less than 5 and a 48 hour cancellation notice for groups of 5 or more, however if you call and let me know I can usually re book. Our policy is to charge the full price of the ride for each rider you reserved for.
- Please be sure that all riders in your party are in good physical condition. If you have any doubt Please ask for your physicians permission. People with back problems and knee problems shouldn't ride without consulting a doctor. Pregnant women CANNOT ride with Equine Adventures. If any rider has a questionable medical issues PLEASE check with your physician.
- Riders with any concerns (physical, mental, emotional) should let us know before the ride so the issues can be addressed. We would like to make it possible for everyone to ride and we are willing to go the extra mile to make it happen.
- If it is raining on the day of your ride please call and check in with us. Usually it blows over and we ride. It may be raining where you are and not here. We rarely miss a ride because of rain. Please do not just decide not to show up - call and check in. 252-995-4897
- We reserve the right to cancel the ride due to rain, high winds or hot weather. We will not ride if the temps are in the 90's and the humidity is high.
- Equine Adventures does not offer refunds for any reason other than cancellation of ride by Equine Adventures discretion.
- 1 hour "lessons" are now available for the rider that might be nervous or just want to get to know their horse ahead of time.
- To ensure the quality of your experience, tip your guide only if you have received professional service and enjoyed your time riding with us.

We are located in Frisco on Hatteras Island. Look for mile marker 66 and make your next left onto Henry Lane. Right onto Piney Ridge. We are the 7th house on the left. We are in a residential neighborhood - DRIVE SLOW on my road!!!!! 20 minutes from Avon; 45 from Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo; 1 hour from Nags Head, 1.5 from Kitty Hawk, 2 from Duck and Corolla
Coming in from Ocracoke, Hatteras Village or the southern part of Frisco? Look for mile marker 67. Go nearly a mile - watch for the spaceship and the next right will be Henry Lane. Right onto Piney Ridge. We are the 7th house on the left. We are in a residential neighborhood - DRIVE SLOW on my road!!!!
Meet at the picnic table in the front yard to fill out release forms. For safety reasons please stay in the this area.
