I need your help. The Park Service is looking at the environmental impact that the horses are having on the Maritime Forest. It would help me tremendously for you to share your experience riding with Equine Adventures - especially the time spent in the woods. The Park Service needs to know that riding through the woods is abig part of the adventure of getting to the beach on horseback!
Please download the form at the bottom of ths page and fill it out. Then email it back to me. OR send me an email with the following:
· Name & mailing address
· # of people that came riding with you
· A summary of your ride, what you enjoyed, what wildlife etc you saw
I will be compiling all your emails and letters and then forwarding them on to the Park Service. Thank you for all your help. I hope to ride with you in 2008!

To the Cape Hatteras National Seashore Superintendent:
We rode with Equine Adventures in 200_. There were ___riders in our party. This is the ___ time we have ridden with Equine Adventures. We thoroughly enjoyed our ride. Riding through the woods allowed us to see apart of Hatteras Island that we had never experienced before.
In the woods we saw various birds, raccoons, turtles, butterflies, spiders, snakes, deer and the native flora and fauna.
The beach part of the ride was great too. We saw several species of birds, dolphins and the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse as we were coming out of the woods.
It is the combination of riding through the woods and riding on the beach that makes this a unique experience.
Please allow horses to travel through the Buxton Maritime Woods. This wonderful adventure allows Park visitors to see the island from a different perspective.
